Bindery

Our bindery options include:

  • Folding: Exactly like it sounds—large sheets of printed material are folded to the correct size for your publication. Using a machine to perform this seemingly banal task speeds up the process and guarantees an accurate and consistent fold every time.

Our B26 Heidelberg Stahl Folder consistently yields a higher output at the lowest possible cost. High imaging speeds, a continuous feeder, and a wide range of formats make this a prize piece of equipment in our shop.

  • Saddle stitching: One of the simplest and most widely used binding techniques. Folded signatures are placed over a “saddle” stitch machine then stapled along the spine. Saddle stitching is typically used for brochures, newsletters, direct mailers, magazines, and small- to medium-sized catalogs.

Four double vertical hoppers, a heavy-duty trimmer, upright sheets for minimum marking, and the ability to create 9,000 copies in an hour, our Stahl Saddle Stitcher ST90 is an impressive machine. Utilization of this stitcher ensures larger pile volumes with fast and easy changeovers, meaning you get the most for your money.

  • Cutter/Jogger: Our Heidelberg Polar Cutter is really three machines in one. Able to handle a wide range of substrate size and construction this machine almost runs by itself. Printed material is fed into the machine, cut to the appropriate size, knife-lifted to maintain accuracy, then passed on to the jogger, where it is neatly stacked and counted. The peripheral equipment smoothes transitions from one process to another, leaving little room for human error.
